Ruth has a fascinating story of survival from the holocaust.Her story is a sequence of extraordinary co-incidences and luck which saw her eventually fleeing Germany and being sent to England after the war aged 16. She arrived in England totally alone, speaking no English and with the knowledge that all of her immediate family had perished at the hands of the ’s. Unbelievabely and despite experiencing unimaginable trauma, Ruth somehow found the strength and determination to forge a new life in England. She went on to have an extremely successful career as a dancer and actor and in recent years has dedicated her time to Holocaust education & awareness culminating in being honoured with a British Empire Medal.https://www.het.org.uk/ Hosted on Acast.
