68: IE Stories - How new clothes and a cookbook can do the trick

The Lane 9 Podcast - A podcast by Alexis Fairbanks and Heather Caplan RDN - Thursdays

Meme Inge, dietitian and cookbook author (!!) joins me on the show today. We go through all the nitty gritty details of how her career has evolved. She's a food blogger, and self-published a cookbook of *GASP* southern, traditional, family meals. And it's great. But as a "recovering perfectionist", it was a long road for her to get here. That road involved learning, and then relearning, the concepts of intuitive eating, body respect, and food freedom. It involved taking a step back and thinking about what kind of life she could have, and what kind of cookbook she could publish, if diet culture wasn't at the wheel.  I LOVE talking with Meme, and hope you'll love hearing her story.  Find her work and her recipes (and cookbook!) at memeinge.com, or follow along on social media, @MemeInge Starting July 9: Fit Fueling—an e-course that combines intuitive eating practices with sports nutrition for active women Have you left a review on iTunes yet?
