159: Real Talk Re: That Next Round of Treatment

The Lane 9 Podcast - A podcast by Alexis Fairbanks and Heather Caplan RDN - Thursdays

The first real talk in real time episode of 2020! Welcome to the chaos. CW: Mention of eating disorders and levels of treatment.  In this short n' sweet chat, I'm elaborating on Eating Disorder (ED) treatment, and how someone might need another round. Many folks I've worked with and met over the years have had an experience with treatment in the past, but life happens (i.e. trauma, weight stigma, pandemics, grief, big changes, etc.) and they might be a candidate for structured treatment again, before continuing with outpatient care. If you're working with clients, it's important to know this, to be familiar with the ED treatment acronym alphabet, and to remember how much support folks might need as they step into outpatient care.   Shout-outs!  Monique Melton, aka @MoeMotivate on IG, has a new class offering—White Fears, Pay-what-you-can class, on September 15th.
