The Smythes: Another 49 year old dad/11 year old daughter family podcast

Dad (Neil, 49) and daughter (Martha, 11, but 10 when we started!) talk family, feelings and dead fish. Dad wanted to put football as the last f but clearly he's not in charge. What do a middle-aged man and a pre-teen girl have in common, how are they feeling about school, work and life, and most importantly will mum or Billie Eilish be our next guest? One thing is for sure, we've got an interesting few years ahead of us, so join us on our journey! On a serious level, this is an experiment in boosting a child's self-confidence, working through feelings and navigating the modern world, seen from two very different perspectives. Our targets are: 1 - make Mum smile on her commute...at least once a week 2 - boost Martha's self-confidence as she approaches High School 3 - allow Martha to get experience in her (current) dream career as a radio DJ 4 - get Billie Eilish to appear as a guest. Simple, right?
