Laurence Batlle, Chairwoman of the Executive Board, RATP Dev

Laurence Batlle is Chairwoman of the Executive Board at RATP Dev, the international development arm of urban public transport operator RATP Group. In this role, Laurence oversees RATP Dev's 110 bus, metro, tram, railway, e-scooter and waterborne operations across 13 countries globally. In her interview with Michelle Batsas, the Chief Executive Officer of the Public Transport Association Australia New Zealand (PTAANZ), Laurance shares insights from RATP Dev's at-scale zero emissions bus (ZEB) operation in Paris, where their fleet of over 4,700 buses will be 100 per cent powered by clean energy by 2025 (including two-thirds electric and one-third biogas vehicles). They've also become London's leading ZEB operator. Laurence is passionate about making public transport services work for women, as well as being a great industry for women to work in. "We have to ensure public transport is designed by women and for women, not only by and for men".
