This week, Travis is joined by Jonathan Bush to talk about the 1999 film October Sky. Directed by Joe Johnston, and starring Jake Gyllenhall and Chris Cooper, based on the real life story of Homer Hickam, a high school student living in a coal mining town in 1957. He wants to build rockets and get out of the small town, but his father wants him to work in the mine. So, is this a feel good, uplifting movie about overcoming adversity, or just some Hollywood cheese that plays fast and loose with being "based on a true story"?
