Karen Thomas is a food photographer and director based in London who has been shooting professionally for over 20 years. Karen’s Client’s include Marks and Spencer, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Cost, McDonalds, Lidl, and many more household names. Karen was selected as one of Shutterturf's top food photographers in London , has been featured on the BBC Good Food podcast and was named as a Hasselblad Heroine in 2022. Our conversation traces Karen’s journey from photography being a shared hobby with her dad, through to studying photography at college and uni , what she learned in 4 years as an assistant, we take a deep dive into what it’s like on a real shooting much much more.
