Kylie Moore-Gilbert spent 804 days in an Iranian jail. The then 31-year-old University of Melbourne academic travelled to Iran for a conference, was arrested at the airport, charged with espionage and sentenced to 10 years in prison.After over 2 years inside the jail - and long and delicate negotiations between Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and the Australian government - she was eventually released in 2020.  In this episode of Under The Gloss - the first of two episodes - Kylie delves into the depths of the interrogation and mind games at the hands of the guards, as well as the glimmers of hope that kept her going.
