It was a bright winters day in Sheffield at about 4pm as two friends were walking to return a drill bit to a tool factory. As the walked, they saw something just off the pavement in the hedges – it hadn’t been covered up and was easily spotted.  It was a three foot holdall. The two men who found it carried it down the road, thinking it contained something valuable like an engine; it was certainly big enough. The bag was covered by a bedding sheet tied with rope and the body was wrapped in polythene. They undid the rope, unzipped the bag, peeled open the polythene and got the shock of their lives. They had found a badly decomposed body - a body that was soon confirmed to be that of a man who had been murdered a number of years before.Just who had dumped the body in this area where it would easily be found. And who had killed him - and why? Please support my sponsor - NordVPNGet your exclusive NordVPN deal here → https://nordvpn.com/uktruecrimeIt’s risk-free with Nord’s 30-day money-back guarantee!Find out more about the UK True Crime Podcast:https://uktruecrime.comJoin me at Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/UKTrueCrimeJoin me in Sheffield on 7 Septemberhttps://armchairdetectiveswanted.com/eventsJoin the UK True Crime Facebook Group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrimeBuy my book 'Gone Fishing' about serial killer Angus Sinclair:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gone-Fishing-Unsolved-Crimes-Sinclair/dp/1914277201Sources:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/615460.stmBBC News | UK | 'Fascinating puzzle' of Mr Xhttps://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/in-25-years-crimewatch-snares-57-398587http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/1190207.stm#:~:text=Police%20believe%20Mr%20Ali%20was,house%20and%20move%20to%20Sheffield.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/1190207.stmBBC NEWS | UK | England | South Yorkshire | Body in bag killer loses appeal Hosted on Acast.
