Today’s ep is all about the Summer & Winter Solstices! Here in the southern hemisphere we are nearing the peak of summer energy at Litha - which is also known as mid summer, while our cousins in the North are nearing the peak of Winter and gearing up to celebrate Yule. It’s that time in the wheel when things shift again, and for us the days start to get shorter again, and for our witches in the north the light begins to return. Shannon shares mythology of Norse Goddess Sol (Info from mythology .net) Shannon and Laura discuss the main themes of Litha- It’s our longest day of the year, a time of celebrating the light and joy! It’s happening for us on Thursday 22nd at 8.48am AEDT. It’s the time to honour the sun’s energy at it’s peak, ask for healing, illumination, expansion and one last joyful summer celebration before we dip back into the cooler months ahead. Then they move on to Yule, Winter Solstice - or Mid Winter - is the longest night of the Year, a time to celebrate the returning of the light, the sun and warmth. Days can only get brighter from this point on! And a strong reminder that after death there is always rebirth.
