The Forfar Witches

Turns Out She's a Witch - A podcast by Shannon & Laura - Mondays

Today we delve into some witch history, starting off with the Forfar Witches…  This story first came onto my radar as one of my dear cousins lives in Angus, Scotland, which is not far from Forfar. She thought I would be interested & sent me some pictures & a little back story on it! The Forfar Witch Trial is also known as Scotland’s Salem, where locals were tortured, tried, convicted and executed for "the abominable crime of witchcraft” between 1661 and 1663, there where 42 suspects imprisoned, and 22 of which were sentenced to death for being witches.  We plan on releasing some witch history episodes this season in between the sabbats & awesome interviews we have lined up. So if there is a particular witch history lesson you would like us to cover - please get in touch!  We also had a lovely listener, Rachel, get in touch with her own Sleep Paralysis story… and a frightening one at that! Divine Tool of the Week- say 'Aloe Vera' ;-) Support Turns Out Network Here Visit Shannon Cotterill, and Asha Moon websites. Have a witchy question to ask?
