Leanne won the role of a lifetime, as the lead in The West End’s production of HAIRSPRAY starring opposite MICHAEL BALL Leanne trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and made her professional debut as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London's West End. In the first year of Hairspray's success Leanne was awarded the Critics Circle Award for Best Newcomer, the Whatsonstage Theatregoers Choice Award for Best Actress in a Musical and also the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical.
