This week I'm chatting to Victoria Jones, who a year ago this month launched a Kickstarter campaign for SAYA Designs, a company which takes root wood, salvaged from plantations across Indonesia, and turns it into something beautiful and purposeful: handcrafted hairpins. SAYA is a circular economy company, and we had such an interesting conversation about both the rewards and challenges of this, the movement towards slow, ethical fashion, and how launching a business is rather like giving birth!
