Works councils and employee participation

Worker representation is in the news after the Prime Minister promised to put workers on the boards of large companies as part of her plan to reform boardroom governance. We discuss the structures currently available for worker representation in the workplace, the role of works councils, the relevant law and the practical implications for employers.
