TWR Listeners Lounge - Kyl Cobb

The Wilder Ride - A podcast by The Wilder Ride

In this episode we get to spend time with Kyl Cobb, someone who is much more than a ghost hunter. Kyl has an extensive background in research, language, history and exploration. He is very much a modern day Indiana Jones. If you think that is an exaggeration, just listen to the stories he has to tell. Whether exploring the remains of Tanis in Egypt or getting lost in the Amazon jungle, his exploits border on the extraordinary. Now throw in his passion for ghost hunting and assisting in exorcisms and you are only just scratching the surface of who Kyl Cobb is. WATCHING/STREAMING: Walt opens with continuing his watching of Halt and Catch Fire. He gave two big thumbs up for the return of The Mandalorian, season 2. And, with the passing of Sean Connery, plans to re-watch lots of James Bond movies. Kyl just finished season 2 of The Boys. He also is enjoying Evil, Schitt's Creek and The Trailer Boys (animated). Alan also loved the return of The Mandalorian and is toward the end of season 6 of The Next Generation. READING: Walt just ordered, "Making of a Miracle" by Mike Eruzione. He also suggests, "Silver Screen Fiend," by Patton Oswald. Kyl is an avid reader. He suggests, "Gun, Germs and Steel,'" by Jared Diamond. Another book by Diamond is, "Upheaval." He also recommends the following books by Mary Roach: "Stiff," "Spook," and "Mars." Finally, for the magazine reader, he suggests, "The Skeptical Inquirer." LISTENING: Walt reminds the listeners to checkout Comedy Bang Bang with Scott Ockerman. He also found a newer podcast called Pittsburgh Nerd and really liked it. Kyl has some music suggestions.
