e329. Biographies, Blockbusters, And Biden! What a Week!

The VoxPopcast - A podcast by Vox Populorum - Mondays

It’s been a hell of a week. Ok, let’s face it… it’s been a hell of a summer. This is a pop culture show and so we try to stay current on what’s happening, but the world has been moving so fast that we have been trouble keeping up, so on this week’s show, Mav and Hannah and frequent guest Stephanie Siler, catch up on recent news and events in both American pop culture and politics. On this week’s show we share quick reactions to recent movies like Twisters and Deadpool and Wolverine – both non-spoilers for now since we may be talking about them more in the coming weeks – as well talk about politics with the recent withdrawal from the US presidential race by Joe Biden and the accession of Kamala Harris as the presumptive Democratic nominee. AND we talk about the differences between biographies and memoirs. That wasn’t a conversation we were looking to have, but when you try to do a general catch up show, sometimes the conversation goes in weird directions. How’d we get there? What is the difference anyway? Listen and find out. Then let us know your thoughts in the comments.
