Guided by her intuition in 2013, the sociologist Anaïs van Sull left her promising academic career in Belgium behind to start a new life in the Mexican Caribbean. But not only to enjoy the sunny life of a diving instructor – she wanted to give something back to the region with her gift of working with teenagers and her social engagement. Today, she’s the co-founder of the NGO Movida Maya holding the space for the youth of Mayan communities to develop a self-sufficient, sustainable life still connected to their roots.
