The results speak for themselves: record high murders, ambush murders of cops, rapes, overdoses and property crimes. From his office, he can monitor all spending and even processes of the state in the implementation of policy. In fact, North Dakota has a wonderful law that empowers citizens to demand audits. Already, gallion has found taxing districts with $180 million surpluses, illegal for them to have, even as they continue to increase taxes! That may be why the State Legislature wants to limit his power, though they claim that is because he costs counties, cities and districts money they don’t have for these audits.
