Today's guest is Gemma Milne, a science and technology writer, Expert Advisor to the European Commission and Innovate UK, and the author of Smoke & Mirrors: How Hype Obscures the Future and How to See Past It. I found chatting to Gemma right now particularly fascinating - I loved hearing her view of how the coronavirus crisis has been communicated and whether her grounding in science had affected her reaction to the climate of fear and anxiety (answer: not always).
