Parenting a Sick Child w/ Laura & Sergio Weingarten

In this week’s episode I have a conversation with Laura and Sergio Weingarten. Laura, a clinical psychologist, and Sergio, a corporate finance lawyer turned business executive, until recently had a picture perfect life; three gorgeous healthy kids, a beautiful home, surrounded by friends and family. And then about two years ago, their eldest son Freddie fell ill. After nearly 12 months of countless tests and investigations, Freddie was diagnosed with narcolepsy. Since then, and even after the diagnosis, their entire life has been turned upside down. We talk about what they as a family have endured, how they have coped and how they work towards giving all of their children the best possible chance at a normal life.
