DJALI ZWAN: 'SPUN' SOUNDTRACK w/ Matt Billington

It's the Djali Zwan album (and official movie soundtrack) that could've been! Today on the 'kast we're talkin' the unreleased, technically unofficial soundtrack to the 2002 Jonas Åkerlund film, Spun, which consists primarily of an impressive collection of original and cover songs performed by the Djali Zwan.  Joining us to talk about these tracks and the film is Matt Billington (Phantom Handshakes, Holy Tunics). We discuss  how this could be a "White Sandman" sister album to the dark "Adore," dust bowl metal covers, and how "Love is a Battlefield" almost sounds like a Billy original.  We also ask the questions: Did the CIA secretly collaborate with German band Scorpions to expedite the tearing down of the Berlin Wall? Are the distracting skips in "Jesus, I" intentional (they made sense when Frank took an edible)? And what was the vocal inspiration behind the cover of "Always"? All we know is that it's the return of Sexy Billy, baby! All that plus we confirm that Billy's Zwan-era nom-de-plume, Billie Burke, IS in reference to the actress Billie Burke, who played Glinda the Good Witch in The Wizard of OZ.  More movie cameos of Billy in wigs, please.
