Is that really you? How to spot a 'faux' account.

Have you every been impersonated online? A couple of weeks ago I was, and I wanted to share what I learnt, in case it ever happens to you. I also wanted to share some tips around how to spot a faux account. My impersonator (affectionately referred to as 'fake me') did a really good job. They took lots of elements from my account and bio, targeted people I knew, and bizarrely even promoted a course I run (I assume this was some kind of trust gaining exercise), but they let themselves down on a few points, which I chat about on the podcast. It's really important we all stay vigilant when it comes to impersonation. There are so many stories of brands being targeted, and then fans and followers being led astray through various links. I hope this podcast is useful. It was an accelerated learning path for me, and I always try and reframe these 'tests' as 'what can I learn here?' and in this case, what can I share with you all.
