151. How I'm Slowing Down So That I Can Speed Up
I used to think, 'once I start making serious money, I'll feel worthy.' Low and behold, the very month that my business made the most profit ever, I had a breakdown in the form of a panic attack (let me tell you, they ain’t fun). But I managed to turn it into my biggest breakthrough. Now I look back on this experience, and I am so grateful it happened because it was a defining moment that changed my life and business and forced me to slow down, nurture myself and the things I love. Because I discovered that when building a business from the ground up, the challenges will ALWAYS be there. What you're experiencing right now IS the business experience. And if you don’t slow down, you’ll fall down. So it's time to embrace the journey and learn how to look after yourself along the way. That means putting boundaries in place, stepping away from the things that don't serve you (even when they seem to be really good things, like podcasts or audiobooks), staying true to yourself, and focusing on the fire in your heart that got you started in the first place.
