Most are familiar with the story and destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Scientists now believe that an ‘airburst’ from a meteor was responsible for its destruction. While some suggest that this proves God didn’t destroy the city, others suggest that since God was clearly responsible - the Bible says so - that an airburst could not have possibly been responsible. Obviously, the nature of such rigid and dismissive views are just as present in science as they are in religion, or whatever those words have come to mean and imply. Either way, how did Lot know to escape the city?
