Episode 75 brings you a big open conversation about breaking up with toxic diet culture and deconstructing bs beauty standards, which are topics you guys know I absolutely love discussing! And what better person to have this chat with than Madalin Giorgetta. If you aren’t familiar with Madalin, she is a fitness influencer with a following of over 1 million across her platforms, a certified personal trainer, an entrepreneur and creator of her Work It with MG app. In our chat , Madalin shares how her fitness journey all began back in 2016 with a popular workout program and how she grew her following organically with transformation photos that would circulate online. Eventually, Madalin started to notice toxic messaging that was perpetuated throughout the fitness industry, which led her to break up with diet culture and totally overhaul her message. This move came with its share of backlash, and she lost over 130k followers.  What I admire so much about Madalin is her strength and how she dealt with criticism with compassion. We get down to what happens when you overhaul your message once you have already built a following and an app from the ground up. We also chat all things biz and share some resources on how you can read between the lines of beauty standards that run rampant on social media. Hope you enjoy this one gfs, it's a goodie!
