I won’t go into the brain science, but it is a fact of neurology that the brain cannot be in a state of appreciation and a state of fear at the same time. The two states may alternate, but are mutually exclusive. So when people say they are too blessed to be stressed, they are actually right. But let’s step back a moment. We have plenty of reasons to be stressed. I don’t need to list them all for you here – but I am certain you have a list. And maybe now, our lists seem longer than ever – work, family, external forces and more. We know that stress and anxiety negatively impact our productivity and relationships – and when we need those things most, we might not be able to access them. Enter gratitude. I’ve written and talked about gratitude a lot over the years. Below you will find a link to my collection of articles. Now I’m urging you to consider gratitude for three simple reasons – now more than ever. Tweet it out: Being grateful is good for more than your soul – when you are grateful you lower your stress and blood-pressure. You will feel better and be better equipped to succeed for the day. @KevinEikenberry From This Episode: Listen to our Remarkable Leadership Podcast here. Read previous posts about gratitude here.
