Former FBI Special Agent Shares What’s Essential to Managing Investigations

The Ontic Connected Intelligence Podcast - A podcast by Ontic - Wednesdays

“If it’s not documented, it didn’t happen” is a standard that Christine Oliver has stood by for the duration of her career, leading investigations in both the public and private sectors. As a Former FBI Special Agent and current emergency response and security leader, she prides herself in developing and implementing a thorough incidents, investigations and case management process that embraces technology and helps to bridge communication gaps internally. It’s no surprise to hear that a siloed structure is one of the primary barriers to successfully implementing even the smallest amount of change in an organization. Christine shares some of the biggest challenges to getting security teams and company leaders onboard and strategies to overcome hesitation to moving away from how it’s always been done. She is so committed to this holistic approach that she is moving into a role that serves as a bridge between cyber and physical security. Before her current role as in emergency response and security for a Fortune 500 company, Christine spent 22 years leading investigations for the FBI. She also managed the entire counterintelligence program for the State of Delaware, including serving as lead investigator on all aspects of national security and Trade Secret / IP theft investigations.
