Ep 114 // Managing Shoulder Pain - Understanding the Rotator Cuff
The Movement, Strength & Play Podcast - A podcast by School of Calisthenics - Wednesdays

Pain is your body's way of telling you something isn't right! This week we are talking all about shoulder robustness. This means we get stuck into some of the science around shoulder injuries, rehabilitation and prevention. We get a lot of questions from people that have either picked up shoulder injuries or have niggles with their rotator cuff, that they're worried will turn into injuries and basically in pain when they are training. We don't want you to be in pain, and neither does your rotator cuff! So we've done our best her to share our thoughts, perspectives and experience from working with people and athletes over the years as professional strength and conditioning coaches. We've always applied the principle of training from exercise science and training philosophies from the strength and conditioning world to the way we train, teach and coach calisthenics so we have plenty of experience of managing shoulder injuries, creating robustness for the shoulder and hope that there are plenty of take away messages that you can apply to your own training immediately after listening. Might be worth getting the pen and notebook out for this one as there's plenty to think about - Enjoy! Interested in learning more online or at a workshop in person?
