Syria & The United States

The More Freedom Foundation Podcast - A podcast by Rob Morris - Mondays

In this thought-provoking episode, Rob & Ruairi delve deep into the tumultuous relationship between the United States of America and Syria, shedding light on the profound damage inflicted upon the war-torn nation by its civil war. Join us as we explore just how responsible the United States is for this catastrophe inflicted on the Syrian people and their government. The Arab Spring, initially a movement for democratic reforms, quickly morphed into a brutal civil war in which a wide range of external powers, including the United States, seemed to be competing to find ways to make the conflict worse. Through careful analysis, we explore the motivations behind the American intervention and the consequences it brought forth. The sad truth is that the United States is vastly more responsible for this catastrophe than is recognized. We discuss the deployment of American troops and their role in the fight against ISIS, questioning the long-term consequences of such military interventions, and the extent to which out of control Jihadism was a US creation in the first place. Perhaps most importantly, we explore the ongoing economic ramifications of American actions in Syria. These sanctions imposed by the United States have destroyed Syria's economy, exacerbating the suffering of the Syrian people. Put simply, Syria will not be allowed to recover, no matter what the Arab League does, until the United States changes this murderous policy. - Patreon Website Books Twitter TikTok
