For the most part, golf is an individual sport. However, when it comes to something like the US Open qualifier, the caddy is like the role player of the sport. For the most part, you don’t know their names and their contributions don’t really stand out on a scorecard but if a caddy can do the little things right, it might give the player an edge here or there.
