A man whose work wasn’t appreciated enough when he was alive but is celebrated today, Philip K. Dick. Dick struggled with anxiety and drug addiction throughout much of his life. In 1982 he called his therapist and said he was going blind. He was told to go to the emergency room but instead he stayed home. He was found unconscious and suffered a stroke on the way to the hospital. When his family was told there was no brain activity, he was removed from life support. Philip K.
