* Shortly after we spoke with David he messaged us to say that hehad been approved to work in his local prison. He said "The Governor is 100% going to clear me, "I will officially be the 1st person with that length of criminal past to be given clearance into his prison" that's what the governor has said to my line manager. So I'm chuffed about that because it shows that change in culture and mindsets can happen at the higher levels of the criminal justice system." David Bayliff is a worker with Active Lancashire who describe themselves thus; “ Active Lancashire is the strategic lead for Sport and Physical Activity in Lancashire. We connect with like-minded local organisations and individuals to help bring about active lifestyles. We believe that sport and physical activity have the power to influence behaviours and develop skills which can have a broader, positive impact on people’s lives.” In this conversation David talks with great frankness and wit about his many years of using drugs and imprisonment and of his struggle to use his talents in a creative and positive way.
