We Were Scared In Classes

In this week’s podcast episode Charlotte and Paula talking about why they were scared to comment and interact with attendees on online classes. It is still something Paula struggles with!Why you might be scared to comment in classes?- Afraid others may think you are dumb- Worried what the masterclass host might think- Concerned the question isn’t relevantPaula mentions how she feels like this, recently she joined a masterclass all about something she was passionate about and she still felt afraid to comment and ask any questions. She waited until the class had finished and contacted the organisers of the class privately to still be able to ask her questions.How do we overcome this?- To start off just put a Hi or a Hello when you join the meeting or even if the hosts ask ‘can you see and hear me’ just type in the comment box and this will start to help you feel more comfortable.- You could give yourself a pep talk- Having a quote from someone who you are inspired by For example when you are in a gym, you may be doing a new exercise and think people are staring at you and thinking you have done it incorrectly however everybody is focussed on themselves, this is the same for masterclasses.
