The Bizarre World of Landscaping Part 1

In this week’s episode I am talking about how bizarre the landscaper industry is and I am sure you will agree with me on what I am talking about in this episode! There are two parts to this podcast, part two will be dropping next week! Pricing -product prices are going through the roof yet some companies are allowing their quotes to stand forever - only in the landscaping industry! Staff - the expectations they have I.e. not having to wear a shirt in the summer, you don’t take your shirts off in an office talking to a client…only in the landscaping industry! Clients - expecting you to spend your time with them for free and not wanting to pay a site visit fee…only in the landscaping industry! No formal vetting procedures - anyone can set up a landscaping business tomorrow with no qualifications, training etc. You can choose to sign up to associations, choose to install to British standards and choose to take training courses but nothing is a requirement…only in the landscaping industry. Recruiting - half of the time they show up and don’t come back or they don’t show up at all, not even to the ‘interview’ …only in the landscaping industry!
