In today’s podcast episode Paula is having a rant about hard sales and sales techniques.What was Paula’s experience?Paula ordered a book from a company all about sales and they called her to ask if she wanted a free call with the author of the book. Although Paula informed the caller she didn’t want to book in a call because of childcare arrangements, they continued to try and book her in for the call. They asked her questions on the phone like ‘Where do you see your business in 10 years?’ ‘If you could wave a magic wand what would it look like?’. 5 days later she had another call from a number from the same company asking if she wanted to book onto an event they are doing.TakeawaysWhen someone is hard-selling you, don’t be afraid to call them out as they might be able to turn it around if they come off-script.Don’t be afraid to sell but the key is to listen to your client.Prepare for the call and use sales techniques but just don’t be pushy.Enrolment to become a member is OPEN for a limited time only, until Friday 5th February.
