It starts with good bookkeeping and then to look at the profit margins and the cash flow in the business. It is extremely important to know what your breakeven point is as this shows whether your business is viable or not. If you know your numbers you can make tweaks to the business accordingly. It is imperative for making sound business decisions such as; if you are planning to buy a van, you can see how this purchase will impact the business over the next 6, 12 months time. This will show you if you can afford it and how it affects profit.
