Goya's Ghosts

We near the end of Mike White May with a Milos Forman movie that you may not even know existed because we sure didn't and had to double-check that it was, in fact, a Forman joint: Goya's Ghosts. The Projection Booth's Mike White joins the show to wax poetically about an old lady's makeup so bad even Glenn Hetrick would hate, Javier Bardem's career, and Forman's twilight years. Starring Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgard, and Natalie Portman, the three play characters whose lives intertwine in 18th-century Spain at the height of the Spanish Inquisition. It's as much fun as it sounds, which is to say it's as much fun as being locked in an Iron Maiden or having your arms and legs broken by wooden mallets. Les Miserables this is not.
