204. From hopeLESS to hopeFUL - how seeing your limitations isn't a bad thing

Sharing a personal one today:My husband asked me a few weeks ago: “What’s stopping you from growing the Inner Work Club to be something bigger?”In the moment I dismissed it. And I dismissed him. I’m really good at evasion - I’m good at tricking myself and others into a valid reason for evading a conversation that I want to avoid. In this instance it sounded a bit like:“It’s complicated - you wouldn’t understand” (Arse-holey, I know. I’m not proud). But I wrote the question on my brain dump list to hold myself accountable to actually answering it.And I want to share with you what happened when I set dedicated time aside to answer it. In this episode I’m talking about:* How we sneakily avoid the questions that cause us discomfort (due to limited thinking, uncertainty or avoiding things we are afraid of) * What we can do that is MORE helpful than trying to dive STRAIGHT into problem solving * How we can move from hopeLESS to hopeFUL when we hold ourselves (loginvly, but firmly) accountable to sit with the things that we dismissed and/or refused to spend time with or look at I hope it serves you for me to bring my personal shares to this podcast. I (like you) am a human navigating their own way through business, doing their best. Nik x This is a public episode.
