Hello and thank you for downloading another episode of The Flixters Podcast! We’re back with a brand new episode folks and on this week’s show we talk about Spanish film The Occupant.  Javier, a once successful marketing executive (played by actor Javier Muñoz) is forced to leave his lavish penthouse apartment and the life he once knew. Javier becomes obsessed with the family that moves in and things start to turn pretty nasty from here on out. Directed by the Pastor brothers, The Occupant is an interesting take on the evils of greed and the things people do to cling onto money and power. Wanna know more? Download the show for an in-depth look. Also on the show is a review of 10 Cloverfield Lane. Surviving a car accident, Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), is forced to stay in a bunker by Howard, a brilliant performance by John Goodman because Aliens may or may not have infected the world outside with poison. Is it better in the bunker or in the real world? Listen to the show to find out more! On Anniversary Corner we’re taking a look back at Hot Tub Time Machine, The Island, Road Trip, Showgirls and the modern-day classic that is, Home Alone. On Hidden Gems we want you all to go out and watch The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019), a charming and brilliantly acted adventure starring Shia LaBeouf, Dakota Johnson and Zak Gottsagen. Zak Gottsagen plays Zak,  a 22 year old with Downs Syndrome who runs away from his care home to pursue his dream of becoming a wrestler. On his journey he meets Tyler (Labeouf), an outlaw on the run, and the two form unlikely friendship. This film is definitely worth a watch due to its feelgood nature, and we could all do with some goodness right now. Check out the show to learn more about this hidden gem and other films. If that wasn’t enough for you we’ve even thrown in new trailers to watch and what you can catch on Blu-Ray and streaming. Thank you for supporting us and we hope you enjoy the show!
