What a show we have for you this week Flixters! What do you get when you combine the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury? Don’t know? Then listen to this week’s episode of The Flixters and all shall be revealed! There’s a new film adaptation of Stephen King’s terrifying novel, Pet Sematary. If you’re a fan of the book or the original 1989 film version, you’ll want to listen to us delve into it! On Anniversary Corner we remind you of Sam Raimi’s, Drag me to Hell, and his much loved Spider Man 2 sequel from 2004. We thought we'd mix it up a little and remind you of a TV show from 1999. Queer as Folk from twenty years made an appearance which starred a young Aiden Gillen (Game of Thrones!), and some of you may not know this but Alec Baldwin once played a comic book character called, The Shadow back in 1994 which some of you may prefer to forget! And of course, we look back at the original Pet Sematary film from 1989. Download the show to hear more :) On Hidden Gems we share Repo Man, a classic sci-fi romp from 1984, starring brat pack alumni, Emilio Estevez. And also, a turn for the worse in, A Dark Song, a film from 2016 which from the looks of it, doesn’t sound too good :( As always we’ve filled the show with what you can expect to watch on streaming services and what new trailers are worth checking out. Thanks for listening and supporting us!
