Hello and thank you for downloading another episode of The Flixters Podcast! On this week’s episode we discuss acclaimed director David Cronenberg’s return to the body-horror genre that made his films so potent in the past. In Crimes of the Future, Cronenberg delivers a grisly take on a future where humans have developed the ability to grow new organs and where people don’t feel pain. A couple of things to note: this is from the guy that brought us films like Crash, Naked Lunch and The Fly, so expect weird, grotesque and ultimately compelling viewing. Wanna know more? Check out the show! We also review Spiderhead, a new Netflix exclusive starring everyone’s favourite Asgardian, Chris Hemsworth. In it, he plays ‘Steve Abnesti’ , a scientist conducting experiments on prison inmates using mind-altering drugs. We know that Chris can action, but can he do the dramatic stuff? Check out the review to find out. Over in Anniversary Corner we take a look back at Antiviral (2012) and Eastern Promises (2007). And if that wasn’t enough for you we’ve even thrown in new trailers to watch and what you can catch on streaming. Thank you for supporting us and we really hope you enjoy the show! 00:00 Intro 02:07 Shoutouts 03:56 Movie News 16:20 New on Streaming 26:14 New Trailers 32:54 Anniversary Corner 35:37 Men review 42:23 Lightyear review 51:45 Outro
