Are Black British Actors Highjacking Iconic African American Roles?

In this weeks episode we discuss the recent success black British actors such as Daniel Kaluuya, Idris Elba & Damson Idris have been experiencing in America. The black British actors have been stand out in their performances in movies and tv series such as Judas & The Black Messiah, The Wire & Snowfall to name a few but not all African Americans are happy for the actors with the self proclaimed king of pan africanism Dr Umar Johnson sparking a debate by publicly expressing his irritation of iconic African American roles being played by black British actors. This has sparked major debate on social media about the topic. Do the African Americans have a point? or are they simply being bitter towards the current success the black British actors are experiencing.
