Build Your Brand: Good or Bad Advice? [S2E06]

The Enthusiasm Project - A podcast by Tom Buck

It’s almost cliche advice at this point, but learning to build your brand lets you take effective control of your narrative and drive your story forward on your terms. After spending the past few weeks fine tuning and in some cases, redesigning my “brand,” I wanted to share what I learned and why it’s something worth your time.

I also discovered that Anchor lets people leave voice messages, so I’m VERY excited to share a few special messages from listeners this week.

If you’d like to leave a message, check out https://anchor.fm/enthusiasm and click “send voice message.” I’d love to include your thoughts on a future episode.

—— Gear of the Week ——

I’ve been looking at my workflow and working to update integral parts that will genuinely make a difference.

I’ve been using a motor less slider since 2013, and even though it’s awesome, I’ve been getting frustrated. It’s big, and it takes a lot of effort to get a smooth shot. I use the slider in literally every video, so this is a pain point I often encounter.

I upgraded to the motorized Edelkrone Sliderone and it’s amazing. I’m hoping to get the motorized pan head at some point, but for now I ordered the 3D printable pan and tilt head.
