Aliens from Mars are thawing out but Scott and Matt are really bored with the Patrick Troughton 6-part serial "The Ice Warriors". The Doctor, along with companions Jamie and Victoria, arrive at an Earth base in the distant future during a new ice age. The base is trying to stop a glacier from destroying the base with an ionizer device that will melt it before it can, but in the process they thaw out an alien race known as The Ice Warriors who want to destroy the planet.
