#52 – Children’s Books Adapted Into Movies with Amanda White

The Couch with Mary Carver - A podcast by Mary Carver

This week, Amanda White and I combine two of our favorite things into one fun conversation. We're talking about children's books (yay!) adapted into children's movies (double yay!). And while we recorded this well before we had even heard of the coronavirus, we're hopeful this episode will be helpful as you're looking for ways to keep your kids entertained while you're staying home. We planned this episode because of the movies based on children's books coming out this year: Dolittle, Peter Rabbit 2, Secret Garden, The Call of the Wild, Artemis Fowl, and The One and Only Ivan. Though we mention release dates for several of these movies, know that many films are being held until this virus crisis is over. So stay tuned for the new release dates! Because there are SO MANY movies made from children's books, we tried to limit ourselves to just children's or middle grade stories (not young adult). As always, we can't stick to our own parameters. But we tried. We also tried to hit all the biggest and best books and movies, but if we missed your favorite, let us know!
