#157 - What to Watch in May (Plus a Look at Apple TV+)

Last weekend my family went to the movies and as we sat through eight (EIGHT!) trailers, my youngest daughter whispered to me, “Mom, there are a LOT of new movies coming out in May!” She’s not wrong, but as we know, every single month brings us A LOT of new movies and series. With so many options, I feel it’s my duty as your favorite pop culture-loving friend to narrow it down and help you pick a few gems to watch each month.   So today we’re talking about the new movies and series you’ll probably want to watch in May (while keeping in mind that I’ll share the where and when of allllll the new stuff in the May Watch Guide, which is extremely thorough and completely free for everyone in the Patreon community). Then (but wait! there’s more!) I’m taking a look at Apple TV+ and what you might want to watch during a short subscription or free trial.   After all, I know you’re playing the streaming subscription rotation game like I am. So let’s make sure you have a game plan for the day you hit “subscribe” on this service.   Of course, as you’ve learned, even in solo episodes of The Couch like this one, rabbit trails and side notes are welcome.
