Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Trash Talk Roundtable with your Challenge Fandom Podcast hosts Rick, Corrina, Katie, Alexis and Josh! This week we got together to discuss the most recent episode of MTV's The Challenge season 39 "Battle for a New Champion" episode 9 "A Banana Split". We kick off the episode by debating the difference between purposeful drama and fake drama and which are we dealing with on this season of The Challenge? We also dive into Emanuel's new position in the house, why Devin got so upset at Asaf for the personal comparison, should Moriah wait to tell Bananas or should she have already called him and was the Asaf and Melissa discussion a binding pact to protect each other at all costs PLUS... would Melissa have put her neck on the line for Asaf? We also debate whether or not it's possible to play a clean, honest game in The Challenge House and what would have happened if Melissa had thrown her drink on another woman in the house with less self control? Next we discuss TJ's hint toward the mercenary, rate Tori on the GOAT scale and debate whether or not the team format on this daily was mishandled. We also discuss whether or not we were surprised nobody except Emanuel took advantage of the sabotage in event one, how we think the teams should have handled the three person team from the start, did Asaf make the right move by being quiet during winner deliberations, Rayvn's politics this season and of course, Kyland's personal shot at Asaf during nominations (0:00 - 54:17). In the second part of the episode we discuss why Colleen would be the current target, Meltdown Melissa in the club and can anyone truly understand drunk James in the club?! We digress... we debate whether or not Moriah is truly flipping to the other side of the house, why is Colleen so jealous, hidden hookups and how in the world does Michele have so much control over the house that she was able to protect Moriah with so many eyes on her?! We also discuss the difference between being a GOAT and being one of the greatest people to ever play the game, debate where we think Tori falls in all of it and did Tori have a right to call Moriah out for what is going on with James? Lastly we talk about Banana's heartbreak, his petty get-back move, why he would have cancelled his mercenary appearance instead of showing up to try and call James out, Tori's elimination strategy VS Melissa's, where did Tori learn to be good with organizing puzzles all of a sudden and of course we discuss the highly debated topic - is it feasible for any of the women on this cast to beat all of the men on this cast in a final and what would have to happen in order for that to come to fruition.
