Imitating Christ’s humility
Today, I want to talk about humility. I feel like this is a topic that isn’t touched as much as others, but it certainly is something we need more of in this world. Just do any quick search in google or Pinterest and so many of the self-help quotes you see are so self absorbed and self-involved. “Focus on just you” was one of them. “”Focus on yourself, don’t get lost in other people” was another. “Find yourself” “”It doesn’t matter what others are doing but what you are doing.” And while all of that definitely sounds good to our ears (because it feeds into our flesh), at its core, “focus on self” is not anything Jesus would do. So today, I want to talk about humility and, hopefully, just help you develop a new perspective that goes away from self and towards others.
