Colonoscopy Unfiltered - Dr Richard Arrigo

Colonoscopy is the test every woman hates.  Women understand that it is a fantastic tool to detect colon cancer at an early stage but the whole screening process from prep to procedure is not fun, to say the least.  Dr Richard Arrigo breaks down the entire process for us and allows me to whine about what women hate the most about the screening. Plus he answers questions not often asked.  For example:** I go there - Can Anal Sex cause Colon Cancer?** Do I have to drink all the prep once my poop is yellow?** If the screening Doctor finds something, does he address it then and there or do I have to  return?** Can I do prep and procedure in one day?** Will the anesthesia make me give up my secrets?** Do I have a choice in anesthesia? And much, much moreDr. Arrigo is a Board- certified Gastroenterologist at Gastroenterology Associates with Hunterdon County Medical Center.  He has seen it all and answers questions with a matter-of-factness that is refreshing and comforting. Remember, knowledge is power!Do not miss his tip to have confidence in your results.Remember a screening should be covered by insurance.  Dr. Arrigo reviews the ages that recommended for screening.  He also talks about potential causes of colorectal cancer and what you might do to prevent it.Claudine Wolk Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/claudinewolk/Claudine Wolk Blog - https://www.claudinewolk.com/blogThis episode of Stories and Strategies for Women is brought to you by Eyebobs.  Enter code 'StoriesandStrat10" for a 10% discount at eyebobs.comand by ThriftBooks.com, the fun site to buy and collect used books.
