Be a bear or a bull? How investors are responding to recession concerns

It’s official - New Zealand was in a period of technical recession at the beginning of this year, according to GDP figures out this month.   Investment firms have been telling us for months that we should put our money in defensive investments that are somewhat protected from economic downturns - but major US markets are now in bull territory.   So is this recession actually going to impact earnings, or fuel more optimism that rate increases will end?   To help explain what to do in this confusing time, Madison is joined by Chris Smith, the New Zealand general manager of CMC Markets Asia-Pacific, to discuss what he's seeing across the investment sector. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
